The Art of Fermentation

Sally is a local from Oamaru who supports the Slow Food movement. She sees informed food choices, as central to achieving and maintaining good health.

In this workshop you will rediscover an ancient food preservation tradition, learning of the many benefits of lacto fermented foods. A variety of different foods and drinks will be demonstrated with the opportunity to try most of the dishes made.

Sally will share her knowledge and give you additional health tips and ideas. With this knowledge you will be able to return home and produce wonderful immune boosting, digestive improving, live enzyme and vitamin packed condiments and drinks, from your booklet of notes and recipes.

A book and magazine display to peruse and kefir grains will be available on the day.

We will eat a seasonal 2-course whole food meal together at Centrewood's long lunch table.
