FAQS

What type of surface can the marquee be erected on?

The marquees can be erected on most surfaces, including grass, gravel and tarmac. The marquees are framed so they don't require any guide ropes. There are no pins or guide ropes to trip over. Please see the marquee hire section.

What size of marquee would you suggest?

This will depend on the type of event you are catering for, please see the capacity and layout page or Contact Us for any additional advice.

Do we need a generator?

It is essential to have a reliable and adequate power supply. If you require a few lights and a disco, running a supply from the mains should be adequate. For events with caterers, heating, live music and loos we would recommend a generator with all the necessary distribution boxes, trips and cabling.

When will the marquee be erected and dismantled?

Depending on the schedule we have the marquee up and finished at least one day before the event to give you plenty of time to decorate and make it your own. We plan to take the marquees down on the Monday following a Saturday event.

Can you have a marquee in the winter?

Definitely, the marquees can withstand the weather and our fully fitted macrocarpa wooden floor and thermostatically controlled heaters can heat the marquees throughout.

Do you provide catering, bar or other services?

Centrewood Estate has a recommended list of suppliers. Please Contact Us for more details.

Do I need a heater?

A heater is usually recommended, as it can get chilly at night or to warm the marquee up before guests arrive.

What about insurance?

All our equipment is fully insured as set out in the Terms and Conditions.

Do the luxury loos require electricity?

Yes they require electricity, a generator can be sourced if no power is available.
